I have recently discovered that Rhett Henry absolutely loves the vacuum cleaner. Luckily for him, his momma vacuums at least twice a week, especially since he’s started crawling throughout the house. It’s the funniest thing. My vacuum has a light on the front and as soon as I start it up that light comes on. Wherever Rhett is in the house, he crawls toward the sound of the vacuum with the biggest smile on his face. He follows this mysterious machine wherever it goes. He laughs at it, reaches out for it when it passes by and squeals with delight at its loud sound….. he actually yells at it I think trying to be louder than it is. The other day, he was enjoying it so much that I just kept on vacuuming after I had finished the whole house. I got out my attachments (my vacuum is a new ‘toy’ for me too since I just got it last February). I started vacuuming the fans and curtains and all. He thought the long hose attachment was for him to play with… of course it was! He got out each attachment out of the carrier and examined each of them. This all lasted about an hour…. passed his nap time. I’m telling you, this kid is experiencing his first love… the vacuum cleaner!
