One Week Every Year

On June 19th my second son turns a year older and catches up just a year behind his older brother. Seven days later on the 26th, my third son has his birthday and he’s only 22 months ahead of his little sister. So for 7 days every year my kids ages are stacked, with a four year gap in between.

Our four kids each have a buddy close their age and the four year gap is 7 days from being exact. It’s as if Daddo and I planned it perfectly but we all know that’s not the way it happens!

We are seriously blessed with this crazy mess called the Jackson Crew, and we thank Him every day!

Last year I planned the timing of the ‘One Week Picture’ and got a cute one in our yard. One Week Last Year. It’s framed in our home. This year, we had two tournaments in one weekend 35 miles apart. Will left for church camp for the week on Monday morning. This post-game photo I snapped after Cole’s team won the District championship has become this year’s ‘One Week Picture.’  Taken on Sunday June 22 my kids’ ages are 2,3,8,9. Sweaty, dirty, and choke hold included, this is the picture I will frame for the year!!
